Welcome to Prestige School of Dancing

Prestige School of Dancing pupils are taught by the school's founder, Rachel Macaree and her daughter Rosie. A former professional dancer, Rachel is an Examiner and Fellow of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance. Fun and friendly classes in ISTD Ballet, Tap and Modern along with Commercial are held in Euxton, Chorley for children from as young as two years.

Examinations and Shows

Children are encouraged to enter for examinations in ISTD Ballet, Tap and Modern when their teacher feels they are ready. This is a great way to boost self confidence and gives the children a sense of achievement. There is also a show held every two years in which all pupils are involved.

Festivals and Competitions

For those pupils who show exceptional ability there is the opportunity to take part in local dance festivals. These are competitions in which the child dances a solo, duet or trio and requires an extra commitment and private lessons.

Student Success

Children who want to take their dancing more seriously are encouraged to audition for Associate programs. These schemes are run by various professional dance schools and companies and are designed to run alongside the pupils usual dance classes. Prestige School of dancing currently has pupils attending Associate classes with The Royal Ballet, MIBE, The Hammond and Tap Attack. Many students have continued their training at prestigious further education establishments such as Elmhurst, Performers College, PCD and Addict Academy and moved on to professional careers in the theatre.
