Rachel Macaree

Rachel began dancing at the age of four and at sixteen went on to train at Performers College, Essex where she gained ISTD teaching qualifications in Ballet, Tap and Modern. After graduation she danced professionally, appearing in shows such as Summer Holiday at the Opera House, Blackpool and Spirit of the Dance at the Grand Theatre, Blackpool. She also appeared in several Pantomimes and Christmas Shows at venues around the country.

Rachel went on to teach in London before moving back to Lancashire to open Prestige School of Dancing in 2005. She has recently been appointed an ISTD Examiner after gaining Fellowship status in Tap and Modern.

Rosie Macaree

Rosie has been dancing at Prestige since the age of three and as a child performed in many competitions, shows and pantomimes as well as being a member of Tap Attack.

She went on to complete her training at Preston College Dance where she gained a BA(hons) in Dance Performance, Teaching and Choreography along with ISTD DDE teaching qualifications in Ballet, Tap and Modern. Whilst training she performed at Move It dance exhibition and various college productions.



Our Teachers

Prestige School of Dancing pupils are taught by the school's founder, Rachel Macaree. A former professional dancer, Rachel is a fully qualified teacher and Fellow of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance.
